Developed in Europe, manufactured in Germany.
With its headquarters in Adorf/Vogtland, GEWA music has outstanding location conditions: "Silicon Saxony" is regarded as the European Number 1 cluster for micro- and nanoelectronics and nanotechnology. More than 80,000 specialists and students from four universities and five German universities of applied sciences work in the region daily in the high-tech sector. GEWA Music has been working with more than 20 local specialist companies for many years, using the ideal conditions: We research, develop, test, compare, and go our own way.
Innovation and the latest technology
At the heart of all our digital pianos is a chip from the French company Dream, whose engineers specialize in developing hardware and software for musical instruments. This chip is then processed into a main circuit board by TechniSat, also based in Vogtland. Thanks to many years of experience in the manufacture of electrical engineering, this is done based on the latest technologies and following the highest quality standards. The personal and geographical proximity to our partners makes it possible to develop our instruments and offer them in consistent quality continuously.
Natural-sounding acoustic sounds
The GEWA Sound Library was recorded and edited by drummers in professional studio environments (including Funkhaus Berlin). The aim was to create the best possible playability and sound experience. For example, a snare consists of up to 1000 individual samples with five round-robin sounds per layer. The actual room microphones were recorded for each instrument and can be mixed in the module using the "Ambient" control.
Focus on natural playability
GEWA Digital Drums were developed with a focus on the best and most natural playing feel. The double-layer mesh heads, the fine-tuning of the individual samples, and the 3-zone cymbals, in particular, ensure that acoustic drummers feel right at home.
