Samples
The sound library of the GEWA G9 was recorded and edited by drummers in professional studio environments (including Funkhaus Berlin). The aim was to create the best possible playability and sound experience.
For example, a snare consists of up to 1000 individual samples with 5 round robin sounds. The actual room microphones were recorded for each instrument and can be mixed in the module using the "Ambient" control.
for realistic Room Sounds
Every GEWA multi-layer instrument offers the option of adding a room sound to the direct signal via the ambient fader. This ambient sound contains the actual recordings of the ambient microphones of each individual sample. This ensures the most realistic and natural sound possible.
to further enchance your audio
All GEWA modules have additional audio tools to customize the sound experience further to your preferences. You can define a separate compressor or EQ setting for each pad channel. The master, monitor, and headphone channels also have their own compressor and 4-band EQ that can be freely defined. All GEWA modules have four independent effect blocks: Ambience, Instrument Reverb, Room Reverb, and Multi-FX.
for realistic Room Sounds
Each zone of a pad can be provided with any second sound. The audio signal of the second sound is mixed into the primary sound as a layer at the appropriate volume. The GEWA Sound Library contains various snare bottom and subkick samples that you can add to your snare or bass drum. Try out the audio examples below.
